Cyprus Follow Up

Follow up activity was done in Pissouri, early September (3 of September) 2023 in the dissemination event of our NGO. More informations for the activity you can find in the link of he organisation:   In the activity there were more than 20 members of our NGO and also representatives of Local Authorities from Pissouri Council . The activity was done at 3 of September 2023 in Pissouri Multicultural Center.

Paricipants also represent the Consent activity: This exercise dealt with the idea of consent. We started to move around, and eventually they had to find another participant. By simply touching the other person, they discovered that the other person only responded to this touching by moving; if they didn't want it, they put up resistance; and if they were fine, they simply left their body to move. They had the option of adding a yes or no response to the motions in the following step. They had greater opportunity to express their opinions in the final section (I don't like it, go on, etc.).By incorporating physical touch and movement, individuals were able to actively engage in the concept of consent and understand how their reactions can communicate their boundaries. Additionally, allowing participants to verbalize their feelings further enhanced their understanding and encouraged open communication about consent.

Trainers, participants and the president of the organisation speak about the experience in the project WOMENS POWER and there was a big discussion among the youthworkers and other participants from the community about the different case of Social Entrepreuneurship among the countries.

Natalia:

I enjoyed the Erasmus program focused on women empowerment because it provided a unique opportunity to broaden my horizons and engage in meaningful discussions surrounding gender equality and women empowerment. I was also given the opportunity to meet and become friends with people from different backgrounds and cultures and that allowed us to exchange ideas and strategies for promoting women's rights. Lastly, a big thank you to the Acpelia organisation for doing such a good job organising this training course!

Maria:

Through this project, I have learned about various prejudices that exist in the twenty-first century as well as the rights and empowerment of women. Undoubtedly, this project was a huge deal and an enormous opportunity. Through various societal issues, women's empowerment empowers and enables them to make decisions that have a significant impact on their lives. Furthermore, the economics and development fields now frequently discuss the empowerment of women. Additionally, it was very interesting because I learned about different cultures, met different people in the world, and expanded my experience at different levels abroad. The connections I forged during those 10 days were invaluable. I met incredible people who became friends. Together, we not only learned from the course material but also from each other's experiences and perspectives. It was a network of strength and solidarity that I will forever cherish. As the course concluded, I left Poland with a renewed sense of purpose, armed with newfound knowledge, and brimming with confidence. I now feel better equipped to face life's challenges, break down barriers, and advocate for gender equality in my community.

Lastly, I strongly believe that the new generation has a huge problem equality between the two genders.

Andri:

My engagement to this specific training made me understand better the reasons why gender norms and stereotypes still dictate our way of thinking and lifestyles and how to break them. It was a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and exchange ideas and opinions in regards to women's empowerment. Moreover, i created unexpected friendships and i have formed special bonds with the participants from the other countries. After the training, i feel that i i gained a lot of knowledge and i am familiarized with non-formal education. Can't descripe how much blessed i feel for leveraging this opportunity.
